basement remodel :: week 9

It was a big week.

Very big. We now have a SOFA!

A corner sofa at that. We also have a giant game/scrapbooking/poker table. Any way you look at it, a place for entertaining:

We also added some things that belonged to my father-in-law.

Once the entire wall is complete, I'll show you a full shot of the shelves. (Should be next weekend sometime.) I installed wooden blinds in the family room this week as well. Office is next. Speaking of office...

THE WALL IS DONE! It turned out even better than I expected and again, I'll share the full view once decorating is complete.

We'll be adding artwork to the wall by the game table, a little something by the brown leather chair in our family room, and lots still to the office walls. Looking forward to another fun week of embellishing our space. Until next time...

I started this blog on July 7, 2007 (can you believe it's been that long?) and celebrate my blogiversary each year with a bunch of prize drawings. The key is to check back OFTEN during the week as there will be a minimum of one prize drawing each day. To enter, simply add your name as a drawing by posting a comment to that particular entry on my blog. You can even do this anonymously (though if you win, you will need to send me your full name and address by email). The first prize is a BRAND NEW PRODUCT from CM, a pen case that holds 15 pens.

1. Elmo Floor Pillows.

Okay, so that's not the real name for these fluffy puffs of air, but the first thing that came to mind when I happened upon them at Pier One Imports.

2. Another wonderful Etsy find thanks to a cropping friend - this Minnesota shop is called "Oh Dier" by William Dohman.

I love his recycled wood signs. LOVE. THEM.

3. The new Shatter line of nail polish from OPI.

4. These super cool Ninjabread Men cookie cutters.

Found them today on Perpetual Kid, an awesome online store.

5. Interestingly enough, my mother-in-law introduced me to a very similar store today... in person. The place is in St. Paul and called Avalon. I came across MANY of the same items as the online store mentioned above.

I could spend hours in a place like this! A great place to shop for unique gifts.
