we'll always need to have an 8-seater van

Whether it be a trip in search of The Perfect Shake, heading out to the Minnesota State Fair for a day of fun, or to Cabela's for the world's best fudge - doing it with Tilly's family just makes it twice as much fun.

We did it again today. After dinner and shakes at Little Oscars, we lured Tilly and her family back to our place... where we introduced them to Rock Band.

Let me just say this: four stars were born. Four rock stars. I think I can safely say they've caught my Battle of the Bands vision. We will begin making official plans soon. Very soon.

okay, so i took A LOT of pictures

These will likely be the last two I post here from our session. I've created a fearless bride gallery on my photography website and will post more there when I have a chance.

I survived the crop and even managed to get back on track despite weeks of procrastination summertime fun. I'll be posting our latest faithbooking lesson within the next couple of days. Enjoy the day, I hear it's supposed to be a nice one.

pray for me as I have procrastinitis

Procrastinitis (from the Dictionary of American Slang)

Condition in which employees or students are absent the day before an important project is due, inherently due to them putting the work off until the last possible minute.

One Brave Girl

And despite the fact my "bride" is 13 weeks pregnant, I made her do this:

Okay, at least I asked her to take off the heels. Safety first, of course. Yes I know, we were in the middle of the street but it was a safe street. Besides, she was a traffic stopper.

here she is...

My fearless bride... Mellissa. She was The Perfect Model; this girl seriously knows how to work a dress.

Regardless of the circumstances.

"We're adding on to his life."

The kids were horsing around this afternoon (as evidenced by the squeals and howling laughter). When I asked what they were doing my oldest said, "We're adding on to his life."

Have you ever heard the adage: "Laughter adds eight years to your life"? I hadn't so I decided to do a little Googling on the topic. This is what I found:

I have the feeling it was inspiration for today's ticklefest.

By the way, statistics show that children laugh on average 400 times a day whereas adults only laugh about 17 times a day. Ouch. So here's a question to ponder:

Do we stop laughing because we grow old or grow old because we stopped laughing?

I so love cheesy photo ops!

I'm sorry for being unusually "quiet" my bloggy friends... just tying up loose ends for Saturday's crop and taking care of other bidness. (The hubby will love that one, he keeps teasing me for trying to sound all hip.) I'll soon be hooking up with my fearless bride so stay tuned for what are sure to be AWESOME pictures!
