baby, it's cold outside

Okay, beyond cold. Here is our current weather advisory:

A wind chill warning remains in effect until 12 PM CST Friday. Bitterly cold Arctic air coupled with northwest winds of 5 to 15 mph will continue wind chill readings from 35 to 45 below zero across east central and southeast Minnesota and western Wisconsin through this morning. Some improvement in the wind chill values will occur this afternoon as temperatures gradually rise... but wind chill readings will still be 25 to 35 below zero. As a persistent west northwest wind continues tonight... the wind chill readings will drop back down to 30 below to 40 below zero into Friday morning. A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and winds will create dangerously cold wind chill values. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia or death if precautions are not taken. When venturing outdoors... make sure that you dress in layers... and wear a hat and gloves.
Yep. Bundle up.

In case you hadn't noticed, I've added a few new books to my shelf on the left. The additions come highly recommended by friends and I wanted to help spread the word. (And create a little reminder for myself :-) Can't wait to check them out.

Speaking of spreading the word, I have an important prayer request to share. Many of you are already praying for Abby. If not, you can learn more by watching the video below or by clicking HERE:

Needless to say, the family would covet your prayers.

Aside from being one of the COLDEST, today will also be remembered for Meeley's first band concert. A milestone of epic proportions. (At least in his book.)

Band... it digs up brings back so many memories.
