Tonight, I took the kids for a "twilight swim" at the local pool - given this afternoon's storm, we were the only ones there in an olympic sized pool. Elliot looked around, sighed & said "this really is a gift from God!" I need to remember to experience God in the big & little things too!

This book looks great! I also would recommend a book called Desiring God by John Piper. It's all about how we can glorify God by treasuring Him and enjoying Him, how He made us to delight ourselves in Him (Psalm 37:4). I just finished a Bible study on the book of Hosea, and was just amazed at the way it presented the relationship between God and His people, the depth of love He had for Israel (and believers in Jesus today, praise God!) is so incredible.
