As a former lifeguard (of 5 years) and swim instructor I also banned that jump at my mom's pool. It scares the poop out of me to see kids trying that one, the edges are slippery and one missed move and they do a Greg Louganis on the edge of teh pool. Not pretty. Blood floats!
Yep, loved lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons! Never at lakes, pools only. Long story on that one.
Your mom is smart! :-) Looks like you are enjoying your polarized filter too! I always forget that I have mine, because it's ALWAYS on. I am sure it will be your favorite piece of camera equip. Also, they are cheaper to replace than a lens so if that gets scratched I always have a spare polarized filter to put on. (look for clearances to get one for each lens!)
Cool shot-but as I saw him doing that, I sooooo didn't think that was ok! I'm glad grandma banned it because then I don't seem like the bad guy all the time. Its nice to share that role! :)

Blood floats... eeew!! That was my mom's concern. The backwards jumps have also been banned for the very same reason.
