I was deep-cleaning my son's room today when I stumbled upon something unexpected... empty cereal boxes. Actually, miniature cereal boxes (which is exactly why he saved them). Meeley loves to find and save treasure; one swoop through his room and the evidence is clear: button batteries from some old toy, an unopened bandaid, a piece of onion skin, assorted rubber bands, notes from friends and teachers. Important things full of meaning for him. Moments to cherish. Life through Meeley's eyes.

Onion skin-so funny! Well, it must run in the family...Emma does this too! She finds sentimental value in EVERYTHING, and her room shows it! She rarely throws anything away, and freaks out if she suspects I've done some decluttering in her room. I can only do it when she's not home, and even then, I have to make sure I've disposed of the evidence...just yesterday I got in trouble for trying to toss crumpled papers which had long been abandoned under her bed!
Oh, that's so cute they have that in common.
I'm going to save your entry about Emma for one of my scrapbooks - it's hilarious!
Finding scraps of papers and notes under the bed, you say? Oh how I remember those days of long ago. The four Bloch children were all packrats but daughter Kari was the ultimate packrat! It took some sweet talking on Moms part to convince her to "clean out". Cherish these times girls! I know I have.....
Hi Sharon - I was browsing through comments and saw this one from you! Thanks for sharing your perspective and for the reminder to cherish these moments - so true...
