Found this awesome lake location with Tyler in mind.

As it turns out, had so much more to offer.

Tyler was a true natural in front of the camera, which made my job a piece of cake.

and just like that, summer is almost over...

candle blow

So much for my weekly summer posts! I've been taking a ton of pictures this summer, just haven't made the time to post.

Sorry.

Good news is, change is in the air. And with it comes the return of our monthly faithbooking crops this October... thanks to several ladies who've agreed to help share the commitment! And because I will no longer be hosting every crop, a few changes will be taking place. During the months I am not hosting:
1. Beverages and snacks will need to be supplied by those attending. If you could BYOB and a snack to share, that would be SUPER!

2. Extra supplies/product will not be on hand unless I am there, so you will need to plan ahead.

3. Advanced registration would be greatly appreciated. (This gives me time to pass along the attendance list to whoever is hosting for the month.)
I will be hosting the crop on Saturday, October 9 and it will be a long one (9:00 am-9:00 pm). My hope is to have a schedule in place by then. I will continue to send out monthly email reminders, letting you know who will be hosting, what to bring, etc. If you have any questions regarding the changes, please let me know!

4 Simple Goals (before 2011....)

I was inspired by Elsie Flannigan to take part in this little project. (Details are HERE.) It sounded like the perfect way to move forward after a very unfocused summer. My goals are below:

4 simple goals

1. Scrapbook more. After months of doing virtually NOTHING in this area, it's time to get moving. This has been my longest dry spell ever so my goal is simple... just start. A summertime album project perhaps.

2. Pretty up my home space. I have gobs of frames to fill (and hang) along with several cans of paint waiting in the wings. For some reason, this has been a giant hurdle for me. GIANT.

3. Embrace girliness. Being the only girl in a family of four can be quite a challenge at times - from bodily function humor to the noticeable lack of anything remotely pink. It's time to step up the girl factor with some jewelry. A pedicure. Some fresh flowers. And perhaps the Grease game for Wii :)

4. Journal. My daily journal time went out the window this summer. I miss it. Need it.

How about you? I'd love to hear your simple goals as well!

I love having the opportunity to watch the little ones grow :) You might remember Baby G from her newborn session HERE. I had the opportunity to photograph Baby G again for her 3-month milestone.

J.P. | Minnesota Senior Portrait Session

I recently photographed J.P. and his friend Hailey in a joint senior session. Because of the overlap, we also managed to squeeze in a few fun shots together :) For blogging purposes, I am sharing a couple of the joint shots in each individual senior post. (Click HERE for a peek at Hailey's session.)

Like Hailey, J.P has a great sense of style. Check out a few of my favorites below:

Thanks again for a great afternoon, J.P.!

For the rest of you waiting on official sneak peeks, sorry for the delay... I'm catching up after being on vacation :)
