okay, so here's my new favorite.

I've been busily preparing for tonight's crop and haven't really had a chance to reflect meaningfully on life. Thus, the short and sweet posts.

I have made a recent food discovery that I thought worth sharing. (I may not have time to reflect meaningfully on life, but there's ALWAYS time for food.) Costco was sampling gourmet butter this afternoon and we picked up three little tubs for less than nine dollars: Italian Herb with Garlic Butter, Raspberry Butter, and Cinnamon Honey Butter. The sweet butters are for muffins, pancakes, and scones - the others would work well on baked potatoes, pasta, or even corn-on-the-cob.

(Or you could just do the old-fashioned thing and smother a piece of bread with the stuff, which is exactly what we did.)

They are so yummy AND available for online purchase as well (albeit a bit more costly than a warehouse club chain). The website is Creekside Creamery and you can get to it by clicking HERE. Oh, and a picture to drool over:

not your typical senior photo shoot

And boy, was it fun! This young man was an awesome model - he was very comfortable in front of the camera and game for anything. In addition to using his guitar in several of the shots, we also included his pride and joy Jeep.

Yep, it was one cool session; these shots are just the tip of the iceberg!

As long as you guys are game, I'll sprinkle a few more in a future post. Or two.

not quite sure about the whole *jumping* thing

If I'm taking your picture, you can pretty much count on a jumping shot. It was their first time (above) and despite the young age, their form was spot on!

They were onto me from the start and my usual tricks for getting kids to interact with the camera didn't work!

The shot after this is where my camera hit a snag... I accidentally hit a button that messed up my ability to focus on anything other than the upper center part of the frame. (Not my focal point of choice.)

Shoot and learn, shoot and learn. Thanks again Tracy for sharing your lovely little ones!

okay, so I lied...

I just can't seem to stop! I do so hope to have another fearless bride (or fearless girl-in-a-prom-dress); the next one to contact me will receive a free session.
