whew, what a whirlwind!

Thanks to all of you who booked sessions with me this fall and winter, it's sure to be a great deal of fun!!

In addition to working out the kinks in my schedule, I've also been dealing with new phone issues. (You may have noticed my iTweets.) Thankfully, both the kinks and issues have been successfully resolved.

Had a leader meeting this morning to prepare for the start of Bible study next week. How wonderful it was to be back! If you're interested in joining us, click HERE for registration details. I have unplugged my pots hung up my hat this year, leaving my longtime "coffee lady" duties behind. No more cart, boxes of supplies, or hot pots to lug around. No more shopping for the masses - stocking up on creamer, tea, and the like.

I'm so excited!!!

Before I forget, I don't think I've properly addressed the whole PUMPKIN SPICE SHAKE thing here on my blog. I've been yapping about it on Facebook and Twitter but have yet to make the official announcement here:

Culver's Pumpkin Spice Shakes are back!

And they are by far, the best pumpkin treat around. Just ask Tilly, she joined me last week for a special birthday treat.

Her birthday, not mine. If I remember correctly, she's like two. (Seriously, she ALWAYS rubs it in how young she is compared to us old folk.) As we were tooling around last week, we stumbled upon this magical product: Glimmer Mist.

Incredible stuff. (I'll be sure to share it at a future crop.)

Well the school transition is still a little rocky, especially for my oldest son. The stress of multiple deadlines and the looming threat of dropped grades for late or forgotten work has been giving him nightmares.

Literally.

We're doing our best to help him weather the transition. He is extremely organized but grades are extremely important to him. I've been trying to lighten the mood with our daily texts by sharing all sorts of silly jokes with the help of this lovely website.

It seems to be helping. As are the prayers... everytime he begins to stress, I remind him of these verses:
  • The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8
  • "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
  • I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
And that has helped A TON.

Well it's late and I'm sleep deprived so I'd better call it a night. Have a good one!

Wish I could join your Bible Study, but being a full time employee makes it quite difficult. :(

Sorry that Meeley is having a bit of an adjustment--glad to hear you are able to lighten his mood and he is getting encouragement to go easy on himself. E is harder on herself than I ever could be, so it sounds like they have a lot in common, those firstborns! Sooooo looking forward to Bible study! And I am very happy for you that you gave up coffee duty! While we certainly appreciated your work and effort in past years, you deserve a break! :)
