someday we'll say, "this is where it all began."

The Lil' Peeps had their first jam session today. They made their folks proud with a creative rendition of Blitzkrieg Bop:

Needless to say, it was fun time for all. Hopefully, they'll be able to work through their creative differences. They're currently brainstorming a new name AND trying to decide who is going to be the band leader. (The truth of the matter is, my oldest is trying to convince all of them that he should be the leader. Apparently, he feels that eight months of clarinet experience gives him a little edge.)

Despite the differences, they agree on several key things:

1. Original tunes are the way to go (with a few covers sprinkled here and there).
2. They DO NOT want t-shirts with fuzzy chenille chicks sewn on them.
3. Pretty much any band name a grown-up comes up with is B-A-D, no matter how ingenious.
4. They have really cool parents.

Okay, maybe I embellished that a bit. I'll be sure to keep you posted on their album release date and touring schedule.

How wonderful! I always wanted to be in a band, but never had the friends who wanted to! Your hubby must be soooo proud!
