Ohhh! That is sooo pretty! I think it would make a perfect "Prayers, Wishes and Dreams" album for a teenager or growing child. You can put your hopes and prayers in there for them and affirmations along with your fav pics. It would be a great graduation or confirmation gift!

'Dragonfly Adventures'

'In the bottom of an old pond lived some grubs who could not understand why none of their group ever came back after crawling up the lily stems to the top of the water. They promised each other that the next one who was called to make the upward climb would return and tell what had happened to him.

Soon one of them felt an urgent impulse to seek the surface; he rested himself on the top of a lily pad and went through a glorious transformation which made him a dragonfly with beautiful wings.

In vain he tried to keep his promise. Flying back and forth over the pond, he peered down at his friends below. Then he realized that even if they could see him they would not recognize such a radiant creature as one of their number.

The fact that we cannot see our friends or communicate with them after the transformation which we call death is no proof that they cease to exist.'

by Walter Dudley Cavert

Over the past year, friends and family have given me dragonflys. For some odd reason, I found a dragonfly keychain in my mother's things after she died. It has been on my keychain ever since even though I had yet to hear the above poem. My husband's niece got a dragonfly tattoo in memory of Rachel--okay, I think that's gone a bit too far! The album is beautiful and could be used for whimsical ideas and pictures, as a memory album, as a gift for those whom have lost someone special (I received several albums (empty) when Rachel died which I thought was a very neat touch), or as a summer fun album with pictures and bits and pieces of memories from summer events--feathers, cards, invitations, shells, postcards, etc. It would also work for a small baby album, shower album, or even a small wedding album of a friend or relative. It seems it's uses are limitless! Just love that dragonfly!

Oh that is such a cute album-I hadn't seen it before. I like the colors/theme how it can be used for a boy or girl too.

Very cute. My friend and I used to go walking at a nature center and we would like to watch the dragonflies emerge from their exoskeletons in the spring.

I love the coverset - very cute!! Jodi, thank you for sharing the dragonfly poem - it spoke volumes to me! I liked the "Prayers, Wishes and Dreams" album idea. You could also create a "Things I'm Thankful or Grateful For" album. Another idea to go along with the dragonfly transformation theme would be to showplace all the different "transformations" you've experienced or witnessed - serious and humerous. Lots of fun in this "cute" package! Jodie M.

I love this little album! I think that I would use it for garden pictures. I love to take pictures of plants/ flowers in my garden and others. This would be the perfect little album to show off my favorites.

Wow, you guys have some incredible ideas for this album!

You haven't seen it before Amy, because it can't be purchased (not even by consultants)!

Jodi - What a wonderful poem to go along with it!

Jodie - I love your idea of a transformations album; for most of us, the feelings that take place during transforming times are not always pleasant (though the final result usually is). What a great idea to include those times in an album, a wonderful reminder and encouragement for what is to come.

Tina - very cute album. I think a summer theme would work perfectly for this one. We have a lot of dragonflies in our garden. Maybe it would make for a good garden/floral album too!

I didn't think I'd be able to comment, since we were lacking power for a while with the storm going through Burnsville (yucky storm - we lost a big tree). It's such a pretty album! I had two different ideas - one was an album of my boys at a bunch of different parks over this summer, with different friends, family. We're trying to go to as many different parks as possible - including ones my husband and I frequented as kids (that we haven't been back to in decades) and some new ones in different cities. Another possibility was a Mother's Day album. I'd heard of an idea at a MOPS meeting a while back to write a letter to your children each Mother's Day reflecting on the year and what you like about being your child's mother. Seemed like that would be cute with this album, too.
