Mmmm, summmer fun! My favorite is rock climbing with my husband. I love watching the way the rock walls seem to bend to fit into his hands. He's so graceful & strong! Since I am so much shorter my route up the same wall is always different and we enjoy seeing how each other tackles the same challenge with very different moves. And, I love the way the hot rocks feel in my hands!

My favorite summer activity is being home! I work in a school, which is great, and value those 2 months off in the summer!

I find it hard to pick a favorite, but I would say swimming at the cabin. I love floating on my back, relaxing, and looking up at the sky. That's my happy place!

I enjoy going to the pool on hot summer days, sleeping with the windows open on the cooler ones, and gardening all summer long!

Summer is so short, yet so packed. It almost seems impossible to accomplish all the things one wants to in only twelve weeks. But accomplish it we do! From camping, swimming, and boating to tending to flower gardens, evening motorcycle rides, and Sunday morning fly-in breakfasts. Sitting on the deck or by a campfire with friends and family telling stories and playing games is a summer favorite, but jumping in the airplane early on Sunday morning to fly to some small town for breakfast tops the list, too. There is nothing like the feeling of smooth air as you leave the earth--and your cares--behind. It's a different world up there. As you come into the traffic pattern at a small airport listening to all of the other hungry pilots on the radio, you know that you're only a tires screech away from some of the most awesome pancakes, eggs, and sausage your mouth has yet to taste! The kids think it's really a hoot, too! Of course no matter what we're doing during the summer, the camera is always in tow and memories are always being made. Guess that's why I'll be at Saturday's crop--gotta preserve more of those memories in books rather than boxes!

Family vacations in the summer are my favorite (going out of town for even just a few days is such a nice break!). Also, I love going to the arboretum, playing outside with my boys, and grilling - especially if s'mores are involved. Yum.

I love sitting by the fire with friends and family. I also love hanging out by the pool - watching the kids swim. So many fun things to do!

Oops - that last one was mine!

There are so many summer favorites, I can hardly pick one! Just spending time with family, whether it's just my kiddos or with the grandmas and papas - and usually it involves time at the lake! But the flowers, the grilling, riding bikes, s'mores and bonfires, reading a good book on the beach or just on my deck.
