My cousin's daughter was SO SHY. She and her little friend were running up and down a path; I crouched and waited. They kept zipping by too quickly to focus. The girls finally took notice of me and it became a little game. Thankfully so, because it gave me this wonderful smile!
Then I convinced my children (along with a niece and nephew) to jump for me. I also had fun watching other people's kids play in the rain:
