oh, I do so want to go!!

I've been following talk of this conference for several weeks and am happy to report that registration is now open! And guess what ladies? Lysa TerKeurst of Proverbs 31 Ministries is offering an opportunity to win a scholarship to this fantastic event! If you have a blog and are interested in participating, you'll find the contest details here.

By the way, did I mention that I'd really like to go?

Whether your gig is writing, speaking, or blogging - this event is for you! Not only will there be training in the area of your choosing, you will also have the opportunity to meet publishers AND rub elbows with experienced writers, speakers, and leaders in women's ministry. There is even a track for middle school/high school girls. A little something for everyone.

And as if that weren't enough, there will even be three real-life bloggy celebrities in attendance! The talented ladies of BooMama, Big Mama, and Rocks in My Dryer will be there to offer their blogging expertise and wisdom (possibly even a fashion tip or two). To learn more, head on over to the She Speaks Conference website.

Now, here's the reason I want to go list (I had trouble narrowing it down to just one). Drum roll please...

Top 10 Reasons Why I Want to Win a She Speaks Conference Scholarship:

10. It would almost make my "day job" look like a real job.

9. It would give me the perfect excuse for purchasing three new outfits.

8. I would return from the weekend with warm and fuzzy feelings towards my hubby and children.

7. You, my bloggy friends and faithbooking ladies, would be swimming in the overflow of inspiration.

6. I would have so much fun with my new camera!

5. It would make one awesome scrapbooking layout.

4. My family would appreciate the North Carolina souvenirs so much, they would never again complain about who or what gets posted on the blog.

3. I would finally be able to get my hands on a Deep Fried Dill Pickle... with Ranch Dressing. (Apparently, these are quite the rage.)

2. I would be able to see Lysa and the bloggy celebs in person!

1. I would be able to go for sure!

What a neat post of your honest top 10!
When I saw the banner of your blog (really beautiful, by the way!), I gasped. I had written an article for the last Proverbs 31 contest about the stones of remembrance and also about faithbooking, though I didn't exactly call it that. You can read it on my blog (www.cellybbusyathome.blogspot.com); it's entitled "Addie, Our Pet Rock."
Can you tell me some more about faithbooking? How did you get started? Do you lead a group? I saw some handouts you had created, but I haven't read them in detail. I'll be back to your site!

Cute post! We call them french fried pickles in our area, I first had one as a child when we toured a pickle plant where Atkins pickles are made, and yes they are delicious but I'm sure they would pale in comparrison to the taste of winning and attending, best wishes.
